In order to burn belly fat, or weight loss in general, mostly has to do with your AMPK. AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK), is an enzyme that plays a crucial role in regulating energy balance within the body. When AMP levels are elevated, AMPK is activated. This promotes processes that generate ATP (adenosine triphosphate), the primary energy of cells. This activation leads to an increase in metabolic activities, such as glucose uptake and fatty acid oxidation, both of which contribute to weight loss and burning belly fat. Even ordinary housework or going up and down stairs is good exercise.  Try to get your heart rate above 100 in doing cardio exercises.  Walking on hilly terrain with your favorite animal, for me it is my dog, is also sufficient along with diet and sleep.

The best diet is eating lots of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, whole grains, and healthy fats. Avoid processed foods, sugary drinks, and excessive alcohol consumption. Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day. Additionally, intermittent fasting or reducing calorie intake can also help activate AMPK and promote weight loss. Some people do intermittent fasting by eating only for eight hours and fasting for sixteen hours. For example, breakfast at 9 am and the last meal no later than 5 pm. Alternately, a 24 hour fast once or twice a week will also increase AMPK.

Manage Stress

Meditation is a good way to manage stress. Other effective stress management techniques include deep breathing exercises, regular physical activity, getting enough sleep, practicing mindfulness, and engaging in hobbies or activities you enjoy. It is also helpful to prioritize and organize tasks, delegate responsibilities when possible, and set realistic goals. Remember to take breaks and practice self-care regularly to reduce stress levels.

Get Enough Sleep

Getting enough sleep is essential to losing weight. Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night. Create a relaxing bedtime routine and ensure your sleep environment is comfortable and free from distractions. Avoid caffeine and electronic devices before bed, as they can interfere with sleep. Stick to a consistent sleep schedule, even on weekends, to regulate your body’s internal clock. Prioritize sleep as a key factor in your weight loss journey.
