Omega 6 and Omega 3 Fats

Omega 6 and Omega 3 fats are the most important fats to consider from a dietary standpoint. Fats are very important to the body because every cell in the body and every organelle within the cell is surrounded by fat tissue, which is a very thin lipid membrane.

The membrane is bi-lipid (double layer), composed of phospholipids, one of the smallest organic molecule of the body. The phospholipids have lipid (fat) tails that are hydrophobic (dislike water) and heads that are hydrophilic (like water).

Some of the fats, such as omega 9 fatty acids, are not essential because the body can make them, but still needs them.

The essential fats that the body cannot make are called Essential Fatty Acids or EFA’s. These are omega 6 and omega 3 fatty acids which are derived from plants and fish. eggs, meat, dairy, nuts, and fish are the ones that are the most important from nature.

Best Ratio of Omega 6 and Omega 3 for the Cell

It has been clinically proven that the best ratio for the cell membrane to have is a 4 to 1 ratio. This will provide the right junction, or key, for the oil to pass through the membrane.

This combination will provide that the cell membrane will have the correct fluidity, giving the body the best cell performance for its myriad of functions for energy (mitochondria).

And it is best for brain function because the fluids pass right through the Blood Brain Barrier (BBB).

Because these oils are so important for humans, the 4:1 ratio oils should be a staple.

Composition of 4 to 1 ratio:

So what is the 4:1 ratio composed of? It is composed of 4 parts omega 6 and 1 part omega 3.

A simple formula to obtain this ratio is an equal amount of Sunflower oil (mostly omega 6) and Flax oil (mostly omega 3). As sunflower oil has some omega 3’s and flax oil has some omega 6’s, when combined with equal portions of these oils the 4:1 ratio is obtained.

You can also combine flax granules to sunflower oil but to obtain the same ratio, twice as much flax granules are needed. This combination will cut the processing of the oil substance in half, making it a better choice.

Choosing the oil

Remember that the oil you choose must be cold pressed, in a darkened glass bottle and kept in the refrigerator to prevent rancidity. It will last there about three months only. The combined dosage may be taken morning and evening.

Please remember that to be effectively absorbed these oils must be eaten with some form of protein. So put it in with a protein smoothie, or take the oils with a protein meal, as with eggs in the morning. Eggs are another one of those good fats naturally combined with protein.

Yes, our creator, Father God, put eating protein and fat in eggs, nuts, fish etc. together and … “Father knows best”!
