Welcome to the Blog for Health Always with Dr. Ray Psonak

Dr. Psonak is excited to launch this Blog for Health Always, and invite you to join him in adding posts. Dr. Ray Psonak is a licensed Osteopathic Physician (DO). After undergraduate schooling in Electrical Engineering at Drexel University he worked as a research engineer for many years with Bell Telephone Laboratories in the area of electromagnetic fields, holograms, and lasers. Later, as a systems analyst with Hewlett Packard Medical Electronics he worked as a communications liaison between the hardware and software divisions, and specialist in “distributed intelligence” systems in both the marketing and development area.

He graduated from medical school in 1991 from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNECOM) located in Biddeford, Maine. Post graduate training took him to Tri-City Hospital in Dallas, Texas and received extensive training in Environmental Medicine and alternative approaches to disease from Dr. William Rea, M.D., world renowned for his work in Environmental Medicine. This training has helped in “thinking out of the box” approach to medicine.

Dr. Psonak’s post graduate work included research on Chemical Sensitivities with patients affected by the Exxon Valdez Oil spill in Alaska and the Gulf War syndrome, as well as other patients affected by chemicals, toxic metals, parasites, viruses, and metabolic imbalances.

He works with patients with Allergies, Asthma, Thyroid, Auto-Immune disorders, chemical sensitivities, neurological, and cardiac diseases. Since 1993 Dr. Psonak has been practicing in the specialty of Integrative Functional Medicine. Dr. Ray is constantly looking for new and better ways to help in the treatment of chronic diseases and holds a belief that the body is beautifully and wonderfully made by God to heal itself when given the right nutrients, diet, and environmental controls. He looks upon all the systems of the body as working in concert together as an integrated whole.
